Project Life - Week 3

Today I'm sharing another of my Project Life spreads, this is the 3rd week of my album (I started in June)...
I used a mixture of the Jade and Honey Core kits along with a few Documented365 cards and some other bits and pieces which I'll show in close up.
I've used a Documented365 card as my title card with the dates stamped in neon pink in the centre of the arrow. You can see on the grey card below (from the Jade core kit) I've cut around the text with an x-acto knife so it sits over my picture.
That week I was mostly working and travelling, though I did manage to get a pic of my Earl Grey into my album finally - would be weird if it wasn't in there somewhere! lol
In fact I've just realised my Hot Chocolate and Chai Tea Latte feature this week too - How many Starbucks cups can you spot? ;o)
Here are some more close ups of the right page...
The cork card was cut from some leftover paper, I think from a Simple Stories collection - I love to mix and match!
Here I've used a card from a Doodlebug collection, the blue pin would have been hidden by my picture so I used an x-acto knife to trim it out and attach it to the front as if it was pinning my picture.

Here are close ups of each page, first the left...
and the right...
I'm hoping to get some scrappy time tomorrow, it's been so very busy here at Hurley HQ with lots of exciting developments (will start filling you in on them all next week!) that I've not had as much crafty time as I'd like, that needs to be put right this weekend!

Have a lovely weekend and thank you for dropping by today

My Project Life Organisation & Free Download!

I've been sharing lots of my Project Life / Documented365 pics on Instagram and had lots of people ask me about my process, I wanted to try and share some details so today I'm starting with how I get organised.

I used to keep my weekly notes scribbled on scraps of paper, post it notes, basically anything I had laying around, but I kept losing things and having to go back over my twitter / facebook / text messages / diary to fill in the gaps, so I came up with a solution! I had a chipboard binder and plastic wallets I had bought from Paperchase a few months ago so I turned them into my Project Life / Documented365 organiser...
To give you a proper look through it without a ton of pictures I made a little video on my iPhone (first one I've made for a while! lots of you have been asking for more videos - I'm getting braver! so watch this space... lol) which you can see here...

The printable sheets that I've used in my organiser are available as free download in A4 and A5 (2 to an A4 sheet) ready for you to print and use, you can download them here...

I will be sharing the next stage of my process very soon! I'd love to see your organisers or how you use these printables to organise your scrapping or Project Life, please leave me your links or share over on my Facebook page.

Thank you for dropping by today!

Sneak Peeks! New Craft Kits

If you are on my Facebook page, you may have already seen a few little peeks I've been sharing this week, but I wanted to post them all here too for those of you who aren't!

Firstly, my new Storybook Craft Kit, contains a Cinderella storybook (rewritten and illustrated by me!) as well as everything you need to make a Cinderella doll and 2 outfits - her raggedy outfit and her ballgown...
This will be available in around 2 weeks. The storybook is available now though as a kindle download on Amazon, you can find it here! A big thank you to everyone who has downloaded it already, your support means so much!

Secondly, this little robin will be joining the softie kit line up next week...
Now, I must get back to work, I'm working on a whole new range of kits for a brand new stockist who I will be telling you about next week - exciting times!

Thank you for dropping by today!

Sister Scrapbooking with American Crafts

Today I'm sharing a page I made a couple of weeks ago using some lovely American Crafts collections, most of the papers used are from the Dear Lizzy 'Lucky Charm' collection (love this one!)...
I used white Bazzill cardstock for the background, topped with this strong floral pattern - it was too much for me as a whole sheet so I added the watercolour wash paper to the top. I then layered up lots of scraps from previous projects (probably the most layering I've ever done!)
The picture is an Instagram print from Printed.com I added one of my Chipboard frames (available here in my shop) which I coloured with a neon pink Hero Arts dauber (how did I live without these??) and then gold glitter stickles to match the glitter thickers used in the title. The 'Grateful for this Day' stamp is also from one of my stamp sets as are the butterflies!
I finished with some splashes of ink from Studio Calico and more neon pink dabs from the Hero Arts dauber, some sequins and enamel dots and a wooden arrow from the lovely Freckled Fawn, also painted neon pink with the dauber.

You can definitely see my gold / neon pink obsession coming through again can't you?!

Today I gave a little peek at a new product I've been working on, coming in 2-3 weeks over on my Facebook page, if you'd like to pop by and take a look, I'll post it on my blog later in the week :o)

Now, I must get back to work, a very busy and exciting week here at Hurley HQ this week - watch this space!!

Thank you for dropping by today!

Stamp & Stitch in Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine!

At the weekend I had a lovely surprise when I was flicking through my copy of the new Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine, I spotted a project I'd done a few weeks ago, I didn't realise it was in this months issue, here is a little peek...
My brief for this set was to create a set of cards showcasing exactly how my Stamp & Stitch! stamps work. I used them in conjunction with my Expedition stamps and my Volume One paper pack (all available from my shop) Here is a closer look at one of the cards in the set...
To see all of them in more detail, I hope you'll pick up a copy in your local craft shop, Hobbycraft, WH Smiths or supermarket and let me know what you think.

Thank you for dropping by today!
